Our mobility product specialist Alan recently completed a handover of a fleet of Flying Start racing wheelchairs to Scottish Athletics.
Designed by Motivation, a social enterprise providing mobility equipment to disadvantages users worldwide, they also design and supply robust and affordable sports products, so that more people can get involved in more activities, with all the fun, health and social benefits that brings.
We worked with Scottish Athletics to provide a range of sizes to allow athletes of different ages and body types have a go at wheelchair racing
Flying Start is our entry-level racing wheelchair – perfect for track and marathon racing. There are four seat widths available and you can adjust the footrest and sitting position for optimum comfort. Includes 700c high performance wheels. Blending cutting-edge design with low-cost materials and a strong aluminium frame, the Flying Start is providing sporting opportunity for all, from individuals, schools and clubs, to NGOs and National and International Paralympic Committees.
Designed in partnership with the International Paralympic Committee to meet the criteria for racing, the Flying Start is strong enough to endure some of toughest training conditions around the world.
