Ideal for older customers, or those with limited mobility or receiving palliative care, an adjustable bed allows the carer or user to change to the optimum position for nursing, changing, comfort or support. This can include raising the head for reading, watching tv or for users with respiratory difficulties, raising the legs to aid circulation or a combination of all. Having a bed which also is adjustable in height makes it easier for users to get in and out of bed, or to be raised/lowered to a suitable height for carer attendance.

Invacare Medley Ergo Profiling Bed
The Medley Ergo range from Invacare offers the perfect balance between budget, functionality and quality requirements. The four-sectioned profiling mattress support allows for a range of height combinations, providing an ideal position for the carer and comfort for the client. The newly optimised mattress platform sections reduce shear and friction when the bed is being adjusted and prevents the client from sliding downwards. The mattress platform sections boast optimal dimensions designed in accordance with anthropometric statistics and pressure mapping recommendations.
The flexible design of the Medley Ergo range allows the bed to be mounted at a low height, or a higher position if preferred, creating a range of working heights for the carer and transfer heights for the client. This is facilitated by the unique feature of the bed end, which enables the mattress support to be mounted in both upper and lower positions.

Opera Beds Signature Upholstered Profiling Bed
The Signature Upholstered is a practical and stylish profiling bed to support care needs at home. With the addition of a padded head and footboard, the Signature Upholstered adds a homely touch to any bedroom. This includes an all-in-one height range, where the whole bed raises up to waist level and lowers down close to the floor.
The Signature Upholstered offers a range of comfortable positions from the elevating back and leg rest, perfect for those with limited mobility or struggling to get comfortable in a regular bed.
